HVAF of Indiana provides housing to more than 200 homeless veterans through a mix of 15 properties including homes and apartment complexes throughout Central Indiana. In addition to homes and apartments, HVAF of Indiana’s Residential, Employment and Substance Abuse Treatment program offers recovery assistance and housing at the HVAF of Indiana headquarters in downtown Indianapolis. Each property has been donated by members of the community. HVAF of Indiana also has received assistance in purchasing buildings from the Department of Veterans Affairs and United Way of Central Indiana.
HVAF of Indiana is dedicated to eliminating homelessness among veterans and families through education, prevention, supportive services and advocacy. We are the largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services for veterans in the Indiana.
A veteran is able to receive housing only after meeting with a HVAF case manager to access individual needs and goals.
